Occupational Therapy

What is occupational therapy?

Occupational Therapy focuses on the everyday “occupations” or tasks that individuals need to perform in order to lead independent and satisfying lives. These tasks can be anything from brushing your teeth and getting dressed in the morning to making meals in the kitchen to paying bills. Completing these tasks can be challenging when individuals develop physical or cognitive limitations. Occupational therapists assess people’s limitations, as well as their abilities, in order to help them live more independently.
